RadioRipple ("we," "our," or "us") operates the RadioRipple mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account Information: If you choose to sign in using Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In, we receive your name, email address, and a unique account identifier from the respective provider.
- Favorites & Preferences: Your favorite stations, listening preferences, theme settings, and equalizer presets.
Information Collected Automatically
- Listening History: We store your recently played stations locally on your device and, if you are signed in, in our cloud service to sync across devices.
- Device Information: Basic device information such as device model and operating system version may be collected for app compatibility and debugging purposes.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App's functionality
- Sync your favorites, preferences, and listening history across your devices
- Provide personalized station suggestions based on your listening history
- Diagnose technical issues and improve app performance
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored using Google Firebase services, which employ industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest. Local data is stored on your device using standard iOS storage mechanisms.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
4. Third-Party Services
Our App integrates with the following third-party services:
- Apple Sign-In: For authentication. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Google Sign-In: For authentication. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Firebase: For cloud data storage and synchronization. Subject to Firebase's Privacy Policy.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Radio Streams
RadioRipple streams publicly available internet radio stations. We do not control the content broadcast by these stations. Each station is operated by its respective broadcaster, and their own privacy policies may apply to the content they stream.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data and preferences for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or uninstall the App, your cloud-synced data will be deleted from our servers within 30 days. Local data is removed when you uninstall the App.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access, update, or delete your personal information
- Use the App without signing in (with reduced functionality)
- Request a copy of your data
- Withdraw consent for data processing at any time

8. Children's Privacy
Our App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
